Guernsey County is interested in collecting information regarding the recording of sick and vacation time on pay stubs. We would like to have answers to the following questions: Does your payroll department provide the sick/vacation time balances on the employee pay stubs? Are all departments participating? How is data collected from the departments? Do any of the participating departments use time clocks? Is there a disclaimer attached, stating that "this information is current as of 00/00/16? Who inputs the data? Does this create extra time in the processing of payroll? Do you outsource payroll, or is it done in-house? What payroll vendor does your county use? YES If so, do you have the visitor sign a waiver?THEY SIGN IN AND WE GO WITH THEM OR WATCH WITH VIDEO CAMERAS Do visitors go into the kennel area alone or does a dog shelter employee/volunteer accompany them? SAME AS ABOVE Or, does a shelter employee/volunteer bring dogs to a visiting area? YES WE DO THAT TOO. Does an employee/volunteer remain with the dog at all times?NO BUT WE HAVE CAMERAS Are there cameras at your shelter to capture any mishaps? YES

Hello, Please see the answers to the questions below, if after reviewing you have further questions please feel free to contact me: * Does your payroll department provide the sick/vacation time balances on the employee pay stubs? Yes * Are all departments participating? No, several of our departments have Boards so they track it themselves and then provide us with a copy of their leave accrual each payroll. * How is data collected from the departments? The departments collect time sheets and leave request then summarize the information on a payroll transmittal spreadsheet. We also have a few who use a time clock system that we import the information from so the leave is collected that way. Do any of the participating departments use time clocks? Yes we have several departments using time clocks. Some use regular time clocks and then we have 6 departments using a time clock system that imports into payroll. * Is there a disclaimer attached, stating that "this information is current as of 00/00/16? No, we do not put a disclaimer on the paystub. * Who inputs the data? In some instances the payroll clerk enters the leave information from their transmittal into the system and then the Auditor Payroll Dept checks it for accuracy. Otherwise the payroll department enters the pay and leave for the departments depending on the departments preference. Does this create extra time in the processing of payroll? No because we enter it through the leave screen in the payroll software and then it posts to the payroll screen and totals in the gross pay. So the time would have to be entered either way so this way it is entered once and does both functions. * Do you outsource payroll, or is it done in-house? We do it in house * What payroll vendor does your county use? We use Harris Financial software. Again if you have further questions please feel to contact me. Hello Everyone, Hope the summer has treated you well! I have an easy question for you all this morning. We have had a baby boom here at Erie County and we are in the process of trying to persuade our Auditor's office that offering the College Advantage 529 College Savings Plan via payroll deduction would be a good thing.
