Per our utilities department "We have voucher system for all LCDU Maintenance/Labor/Field employees who purchase safety boots (whether in Solid Waste, Water, or Sewer). We provide a $100 voucher per year that they can use at Redwing (Wickliffe), US Safety Gear (Wickliffe), or Granger. Essentially, the employee walks into the store with the signed voucher from our department, makes the purchase, is responsible for any dollar amount over $100, and brings back paperwork to our Safety Department. Before we provide the voucher, the employee has to show the Safety Manager his/her boot to confirm it needs to be replaced." Does your county purchase the shoes if required and/or do the employee purchase them? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
