Highland County --- We have a maintenance gentleman act as Loss Control Coordinator, and also does our safety inspections of the building to keep us CORSA compliant. We appoint him by resolution annually. He attends the training conferences as well. I work hand in hand with him and do administrative paperwork to keep us compliant. We have a staff member in the Auditor’s office who handles HR related issues, workers comp and insurance. She inputs departmental payroll and acts as the primary liaison. I know enough how the processes work to assist employees who call with questions. We train department heads on safety so they are cost conscious annually, to keep our claims down as much as possible. As the Commissioner Clerk, I am responsible for all CORSA related problems/issues and keep us compliant so that we can receive our annual credit on premium.
