Good afternoon, we are curious how other counties operate and handle Human Resources. As a smaller county we do not currently have a designated HR department, the duties are split amongst various employees and departments.
1. Does your county have a Human Resources department or employee(s)? Yes we have one HR Director (Our nursing home has a 2 that fall under that deprt)
2. Does this department fall under the Commissioners’ or the Auditor? Works under the Commissioners and reports directly to me
3. How many employees are in Human Resources? We only have one; we also have a benefits resource employee who does the health insuranace paperwork.
A. Title & Wage? Human Resource Director $57,400 per year & Resource Clerk is $16.80 per hour and also reports to me.
