Erie County does not require a medical card. However, it is my understanding that exempt CDLs are only valid in Ohio. Some employees hired with a CDL elect to keep their medical cards to be able to drive out-of-state on personal business. A couple employees of the County Engineer’s Office maintain a medical card to be able to drive out-of-state on County business, in which case we will pay to keep the card current. David W. If so, have your unions agreed to this policy? Thank you, Jenny Phelps Loss Control Program Coordinator office: 419-774-6318 fax: 419-774-3581
