Washington County allows the injured worker time off for appointments after they have returned to work (at full or modified duty) with payment of leave type (or unpaid leave) at the employee's discretion. Employees are asked to schedule around work hours when possible. We just authorized an employee for the transitional onsite physical therapy program today. Hopefully, it is approved by the rehab provider. The onsite service should save a lot of travel time to PT appointments for this injured worker. Enjoy the weekend. Do you pay your employees for time off to receive medical treatment relating to a workplace injury? Licking County pays for lost time on the date of the injury but requires employees to use sick or flex time for subsequent Dr. appointments. Thank you.
