Richland mostly uses comp time for maintenance to work extra hours to remove snow and ice. We don't allow people to have more than six points on their license and still drive on county business. Some people rarely drive for work and it's not a big deal. Other people drive frequently and their employment status needs to be reconsidered. Good afternoon,
Looking for answers to two different questions:
If your County closed due to emergency or inclement weather, and you have people coming in for snow removal, how do you pay them? We currently treat the closing as a holiday, and if a person works, they get paid straight time for hours worked, plus the holiday pay.
For pre-employment/employment, does your policy state a maximum amount of points on their drivers license a person can have to be employed, stay employed?
Thanks
