Warren County is using Secure Tech Wave http://www.securetechwave.com/ We like it because the alarm announces by voice over the Court Security Talkgroup (on Ohio MARCS). We can select from 4 radios it announces on. You can pick one or all 4. You simply connect a radio or radios from your system to the main unit. The system will also send an email upon button activation. We have it in 9 buildings with the main unit here at the Court House. The remote receivers communicate over a VLan back to the main unit. They also have repeaters that extend the range of the receiver in each building and floors. A repeater will talk to another repeater until it gets back to a receiver so you can daisy chain them for continuous coverage. The buttons are around $99 ea., they communicate with the system and regularly check in with it at low transmit power. If a button misses check in, (as well as the receivers and repeaters) we receive an email so we can investigate why. The buttons activate at high transmit power so, if it never misses a check in at low power you can be assured the system will hear it on a real activation. The batteries last for a least two years and you receive an email indicating when the battery is low. They also have software that can be loaded on the office computers that will work in place of a physical button. We chose not to deploy that because in most cases we didn't want the bad guy seeing us pushing the button. We hide the buttons under the desk so they can be activated discreetly. They even have buttons that are similar to wall mounted fire alarm pull stations. We have had the system since August of 2015. The Deputies like it as it comes directly across their radio and saves the Dispatchers from having to relay the information thus saving time. Only minor issues with loading new buttons via the system web page. The company was able to correct the problem in minutes. We purchased the system from Mobilcomm in Cincinnati. David Nieman knows all about it. 513-595-5800 and ask for Dave. We currently have a system that is wireless both to transmit and receive and is a standalone system. Trying to see what others have in place. Any systems to recommend? Also dealers who would provide full service to such equipment. Richard A.
