Here’s Erie County’s policy: Post-Offer, Pre-Employment or New Hire Drug Testing: Effective immediately upon implementation of this Policy, all applicants are subject to post-offer, pre-employment or new hire drug testing that is conducted by a County-approved contractor. The County will decline to extend an offer of regular employment to any applicant with a verified positive test result to any illicit drug, or any refusal to test.
