We have a Port and Economic Development Authority that handles economic development county wide. Some cities have their own departments as well. The entire board for this organization is appointed by the Commissioners * Do you have a county employee/internal department whose focus is economic development? The port is not a county department but it is partially funded by the County * How is the employee funded? * Do you have a Community Improvement Corporation (CIC)? no * If yes, how is the CIC used? * Does the CIC have employees? * How is the CIC funded? * Does the county contribute any funds to the CIC? * How much input (what percentage of votes) does the county have on the CIC board?
