Huron County has armed deputies at the Courthouse as well as an xray machine and walk-through scanner. The Administration Building can only be accessed after hours with a card. That building houses the Commissioners, General Health District, Board of Elections, and OSU Extension. The Sheriff's Office and Jail have onsite security and entrance is only gained through escorts. Alas, other buildings are pretty vulnerable, though they are, of course, locked at night. JFS has security measures in place with limited access to offices and employees. The Prosecutor's Office can be accessed only if buzzed in; same with Adult Probation. Hope this helps. Sue On Mon, Apr 21, 2014 at 11:20 AM, Emily Marth <emilymarth@co.knox.oh.us>wrote:
The Knox County Board of Commissioners is interested in knowing how many CORSA counties have implemented full security measures in their buildings (specifically, what measures have been taken; what other offices are housed in the building with the Commissioners; etc).
Any information provided is helpful and appreciated.
