We don't charge back general fund, but we do others. Our TPA does the spreadsheet for us. It's a complicated spreadsheet, using 30% a department's own experience and 70% the county's experience and the department payroll. I couldn't begin to do the spreadsheet, but your TPA may be able to. Has anyone implemented a chargeback system for BWC premiums based on a department’s claims experience? I’m really interested in how the budgeting works in terms of paying the bill in January, getting refunds later and applying them proportionately to the departments, etc.
Any other feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
