Have you had a situation in which a non-FOP deputy (not entitled to union representation) was involved in a fatal shooting (or other fatality)?
If you have - did the county provide any legal representation for that employee during the standard BCI investigation?
Did the commissioners go on record with any action approving legal representation?
Even if you have not - do you have a policy in place that would define how you would handle this event?
