Maintenance tickets
Are counties who have been using Facility Dude for maintenance tickets staying with Facility Dude or switching to another platform? If you're continuing to use Facility Dude, are you upgrading? Why/why not? If anybody has switched to another platform, what information can you provide on that, please? We are switching to FMX. We already have the contract and are doing data migration now. Our Dude contract is done at the end of this year so we will be full on FMX then. We heard a lot of good things about FMX so we hope it works out well. Much simpler to look at and you can download info to excel and create your own reports. Dude doesn’t like to give up info. All: This is from Delaware County’s Facilities Director, Jon Melvin. “We switched to MaintainX. It is based off a mobile platform which makes it a lot more user friendly for the maintenance workers in the field. We went with the Premium plan which you pay per user (requesters are unlimited) but doesn’t have all the “bells & whistles” of Asset Essentials or their Enterprise subscription. Their Enterprise subscription is double the Premium so still don’t think it is worth the cost as of now.” I hope it helps. Good Morning, I hope you are doing well. Does anyone have a great solution to prevent slips and falls in the dog shelter kennel area? We've been considering muck boots, anti-slip tape, anti-slip floor coating. If you have found a solution that works from more than a minute, we would love to hear about your experience, please and thank you! Michelle, Here in Richland County, we haven't had this problem in our dog shelter, but in another department we had issues with wet floors and they used the type of slip-resistant flooring that is used in restaurant/fast food kitchens. They also require employees to wear slip-resistant shoes. Check out the Shoes for Crews website. If you haven't already checked with your safety services person at the BWC, I suggest it. They have a lot of knowledge and if your project qualifies for the Safety Intervention Grant, they can help you with that.
