I have two questions for fellow CORSA members: 1. How are you getting information from your departments to know who is hired and who is no longer working for your county? Do the departments typically communicate that to you or are you getting reports from your auditor's office? I'm looking to find an efficient way of adding and removing people on the drivers lists. 2. Is each department that employs drivers with CDL licenses handling the new FMCSA clearinghouse requirements individually or is the Loss Control Program Coordinator running the queries and getting waivers signed? What does your process look like? Thank you! Jenny Phelps Loss Control Program Coordinator office: 419-774-6318 fax: 419-774-3581

OUR AUDITOR'S OFFICE PROVIDES A LIST EACH MONTH OF NEW AND TERMED EMPLOYEES.

What does your process look like? OUR HR DIRECTOR IS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS AS THOSE DEPARTMENTS THAT HAVE CDL HOLDERS TEND TO HANDLE THEIR OWN REQUIREMENTS
Thank you!

In Knox County, the auditor’s office sends a report of “terminated” employees (meaning those who are no longer employed) on a monthly basis. When hiring, I am (Loss Control) sent the information for background checks, etc. Each department is responsible for handling their CDL matters. I have no process. Muskingum County - we are able to run a report from our payroll system for terminated employees and that is then compared with data base. New hires come thru my office so I am typically always aware and have the pre-employment MVR. CDLs are monitored at the department level. Thanks! The Auditors office gives me a report every month to new and dropped employees. The CDL’s are handled by the department they work for.
