Delaware County is currently constructing a new justice center, but it is a county only building. It will house the courts of common pleas and our new domestic court which becomes effective in January 2017. Delaware County will have four common pleas courts beginning January 2017. One of those is our juvenile and probate court judge. Juvenile Court will not move into the new justice center and will remain at their current location adjacent to the new justice center. Other departments that will move to the new justice center include the clerk of courts, public defender and adult court services. Municipal Court will remain down the street at the city's justice center that houses the police department.
