Medina County is currently self-insured and transitional work is rarely used.  However, when we were state funded and we did use transitional work, it would have been the engineer that would have continued to pay the wage continuation.  The departments needed to be in agreement and the employee was informed that this is temporary.  We even had a case of an employee providing service to non-county agency (Salvation Army) through case management. -- *Holly S.
