Exercise Chair for 9-1-1 Call Center
Our 9-1-1 call center manager wants to buy an exercise chair for operators to sit in and exercise while they are on line. She called to ask me about any Workers' Comp implications. I told her we would ask anyone exercising on our premises after work to sign a Workers' Comp Waiver. But, I'm a little uncertain as to how to handle this. Do any of you have such chairs? Any injuries? Did you have the users sign a waiver? Thanks. Lu Diday Risk Management Richland County 419-774-6318 fax 419-774-9456 cell 419-564-1469
We had run into this scenario regarding the use of an exercise ball replacing a desk chair. I ordered that they remove it because the danger of rolling off of the ball and smashing their face on the desk, etc. just didn't seem worth it to me. I am not sure if this is the same type of "exercise chair" that you are speaking of. Thanks!
